Suzie Card-Maker

Welcome!

I LOVE to create greeting cards. This is a place
for me to share some of my favorite cards with family,
fellow card-makers,and friends.
Update: Since I began this card-making blog in 2009, we have moved to a warm, sunny place, retired, and gotten very busy. Even though my love of making cards has not lessened, my time "for" card-making has diminished. I had actually considered taking down my blog because of my lack of time to make and post cards. Instead I will try to post more regularly with a variety of things. Please bear with me while I attempt to expand my topics.

Sympathy Card

I actually have two cards to share today. The first is a very simple sympathy card I just completed. I forgot to bring a "sympathy" stamp along with me to Florida, but I did use the phrase "Praying for friends to comfort you, faith to uphold you, and loving memories to heal your heart" from Stampin' Up! for the inside. I LOVE the Bashful Blue color from SU! and used that along with white Bazzill and, of course, a couple of Cuttlebug embossing folders. I also used the heart stamp from the SU! "Polka Dot Punches" set. It's time for me to switch from the light blue/white color combination. I seem to have been using it a little too often lately!
The second card was inspired by "justbehappy" in the Splitcoast Stampers gallery. I used the stamp set Flight of the Butterfly and that coordinating punch. The colors used are Soft Sky and Close to Cocoa (cardstock and ink). I also used Soft Sky ribbon, white Bazzill, Whisper White paper, the Dotted Swiss CB embossing folder, and my new Scor-Pal to make a clean fold for the base card. Thanks for looking!
