Great Bird Watching

This morning an osprey landed in the yard with a fish he/she had just caught. It was a pretty big fish for the bird to carry all the way back to the nest. We think he/she was waiting for the fish to die before taking off. In the meantime, a variety of birds stopped by to see if any of them could get a crack at the fish. In this picture you are seeing the osprey and a turkey buzzard. Two more buzzards showed up shortly after the first. The osprey gave the buzzards a good talking to, ate some of the fish, and then took off with the rest it presumably to its nest. It was very interesting to watch!
